Determinación de Cargas Aerodinámicas sobre las Palas de Turbinas Eólicas
Abstract
This paper describes the formulation of a computational model for calculating the circulation and the aerodynamic load distributions along the span of horizontal-axis aeolic turtline blades, for predetermined turbine geometric characteristics and v.orking conditions. This proposed potential model is based on a panel modeling, v.ith a system of straight bound vortices and a prescribed fixed rotor wake, coformed by a system of free vortex filaments v.ith helical path having pitch and radius not constant. The velocities induced by that vortex system are calculated by the Biot-Savart law. Once determined the circulation distribution along the blades, the lift and drag distributions are calculated; the integratedeffeets of those distributions along the blades originate the rotor torque, that v.ill drive the electric generator, and the propeller thrust. The paper includes an example in order to compare the results of the present method.
