Numerical Modelling of Dynamic of Parallel Boiling Channels Systems
Abstract
A non-linear analysis of the dynamic behavior of two coupled parallel channels using a lumped parameter model is presented. The model is based on a Galerkin approximation of the conservation equations for a boiling channel, which assumes linear enthalpy profiles. Interesting
results, including in-phase and out-of-phase oscillations of the thermalhydraulic parameters such as inlet flow rates and boiling boundaries positions, have been found. These results are shown in different phase-space projections using elements of the modem theory of dynamic systems.
