Minimização de Banda em Sistemas Computacionais Basados no Método dos Elementos Finitos

Abstract

This work shows a technique for automatic model renumbering to reach computation time optimization and to allow a data entry in most convenient form for practical users. At first, it gives a brief description about known and efficient renumbering processes. Then, the Cuthill-McKee and R. Collins strategies are discussed. In addition, the work presents an alternative strategy, with a series of comparative examples.
