EFAD: Um Código Numérico para Resolver Problemas de Tipo Advecção - Difusão pelo Método dos Elementos Finitos
Abstract
A computer program is presented for solving two dimensional transient problems governed by a second order differential equation.
The problem deals with groundwater flow, irrotational flow and transport of any substance, using the Finite Element Method. The element matrices are calculated using the Galerkin Weighted Residual Method.
The program can deal with triangular convergence is performed using two problems with given analytical solutions, the first one refers to pure diffusion and the second to the one-dimensional transport of a given substance. Two applications of the program are presented.
