Análisis Sísmico de Presas de Materiales Sueltos por Métodos Numéricos

Abstract

A numerical procedure for simplified 3-D seismic reponse analysis of embakment dams is presented and its results are compared to recorded field data and other more elaborate F.E. numerical model.
This procedure is an application of the frequency response method, with a scheme of numerical integration. Although the proposed model represents an important simplification, the results show it is capable of representing main features of dynamic response.
