Pesquisa de Padrões e suas Aplicaςões em Arquitetura e Urbanismo: Ênfase em Geometria Fractal
Abstract
Aiming to optimize the relationship between mathematics and architectonical constructions we proposed this project moved by the will of new, aiming to open space for discussion, studies of fractal patterns applicable to architecture projects, able to be developed with associative and similar systems to create form and volumes from the mathematic and nature systems. This study is being developed at College of Engineering and Architecture - University of Passo Fundo, by teachers in the areas of Architecture and Mathematics, and has as a purpose to research and develop analytic instrumental for urban fractal patterns, to study propositional and analytical instruments, based on concepts of fractal geometry, including the use of software, in the field of architecture and urbanism. The methodological process involves bibliographical research about fractal patterns and its use in architectural structures; Developing of two-dimensional and spatial fractals; Study of analytical and propositional methodology turned to the accomplishment of urban plans that use, in its conception, the fractal logic; Work about the meaning and the joint of surfaces for the generation of form, structure, architectonical composition and architectural syntax, the subdivision and addition of volumes and the dissemination of results obtained with the community following the production of scientific articles.
The project seeks to think critical and aesthetically qualitative constructions, harmonic with architectural consistency of quality and that escapes from the technicality that found the simple emphasis on the building as mere products of real estate activity.
