Dear Colleague, 

I am happy to inform you that the 8th International Conference on
Fracture and Damage Mechanics (FDM09) will be held in the beautiful
Mediterranean island of MALTA, 8-10 September 2009 (see
http://fdm.engineeringconferences.net/). 

Conference papers will be published (after usual review) in special
issues of Journal of Key Engineering Materials and copies distributed
during the conference. The call for papers has already attracted over
250 abstracts. 

The deadline for abstracts (200 words) is 31st January 2009.
