Objectives
The rapid development of aircrafts and the increase of air traffic in recent 
years have had a profound effect on pavement design and maintenance concepts as 
well as on materials specifications used for airfields. 
The ECCOMAS Thematic Conference on Design and Maintenance of Airfields aims at 
providing the opportunity for research engineers, academic researchers, 
airport operators, aviation consultants, construction contractors to interact 
and exchange technical information.
