1st International Conference on finite elements and
meshless methods for science and engineering, FEUP, 13-15 July
2015, hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto
(FEUP, www.fe.up.pt). The Faculty of Engineering of the
University of Porto is a recent school with excellent facilities
for conferences.

I will keep registration fees very reasonable for students and
full delegates (300 euro (full), 250 euro(student), until January
13, 2015). Hotel prices near the faculty are around 50 to 60
euro, single or double.

Porto (city of the Port Wine by the way) is a wonderful city,
full of history on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Our food
(and wine) is one of the best in the world, no doubt for me as
myself a frequent traveller around the world. July weather is
usually very pleasant. Depending on the final number of
delegates, we hope to organise the banquet in a Port Wine Cellar.

The conference will receive the support of the international
journal of Composite Structures, ranked number 4 worldwide.

Our colleagues Stephane Bordas (Luxembourg) and Francisco Pires
(Portugal) will deliver Plenary Lectures.
