The Advances in Materials and Processing Technologies (AMPT) conference series was founded in 1993 at the Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland. Since then the AMPT conferences were held in Ireland (1995, 1999 and 2003), Portugal (1997), Malaysia (1998), Spain (2001), Poland (2004), USA (2006), Korea (2007), Bahrain (2008), Malaysia (2009), Paris (2010), Turkey (2011), Australia (2012), Taiwan (2013) and Dubai (2014).

In 2015 the conference will be organized again in Madrid, Spain by IMDEA Materials Institute and Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. The conference sessions will cover a broad range of topics such as deformation processing, powder metallurgy, materials removal processes, processing of new and advanced materials, welding and joining, surface engineering and other related processes. The conference promises to be a highlight in the Materials & Processing Technologies calendar. The conference will be structured in topics, and the topics in symposiums including invited lecturers, keynote lecturers, oral presentations and a poster session. Relevant and international respected researchers will organize the symposiums and selected papers will be published after peer reviewing in Journals included in the Journal Citation Report.
