FMPIMP: un Código para Determinar la Hidrodinámica en Medios Permeables en Régimen Impermanente

Abstract

A two-dimensional mathematical model in a vertical plane, which solves the unsteady flow in a porous media based on the finite element method, is presented. The validation of the model is shown. An application to the study of the variation of the phreatic level in the riversides of Uruguay river, downstream of Salto Grande dam, due to the dam operation, is presented.
