ECCOMAS Thematic Conference on

Computational Methods in Structural Dynamics
and Earthquake Engineering-COMPDYN 2007

Rethymno, island of Crete, Greece, June 13-15, 2007

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Advisory Boards it 
is our great pleasure to extend to you a cordial invitation to participate 
in the Computational Methods in Structural Dynamics and Earthquake 
Engineering (COMPDYN 2007) Conference to be held in the city of Rethymno, 
island of Crete, Greece, June 13-15, 2007 (webpage:

COMPDYN 2007 is one of the Thematic Conferences of the European Community on 
Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS), it has been promoted by 
the European Committee in Solids and Structural Mechanics (ECCSM) of ECCOMAS 
and is an IACM Special Interest Conference. In addition COMPDYN 2007 
conference is organized under the auspices of:

§         International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM)
§         International Association for Earthquake Engineering (IAEE)
§         European Association for Structural Dynamics (EASD)
§         European Association for Earthquake Engineering (EAEE)

The purpose of the Conference is to bring closer the scientific communities 
of Computational Mechanics, Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering 
in an effort to facilitate the exchange of ideas in topics of mutual 
interests and to serve as a platform for establishing links between research 
groups with complementary activities.

The attendees of COMPDYN 2007  will be able to interact with the most 
outstanding experts worldwide and get acquainted with the latest 
developments in the field of computational methods in earthquake engineering 
and structural dynamics.  COMPDYN 2007 will be a forum of exchange of ideas 
between scientists and practitioners in an area of utmost scientific and 
socio-economic importance.

We are sure that besides the superb technical program, you will enjoy the 
congress venue: the picturesque city of Rethymno on the historic Island of 
Crete, Greece with its unique natural beauty and distinctive architecture,
